I’d like to extend my sincere gratitude for your patience and adaptability as the challenges of the global pandemic affect your valued university experience.
Over the past seven months, we’ve made a remarkable shift to remote delivery and alternative programming. While not ideal, this situation is enhanced by the resilience of our student community. With your support and understanding, we’re focused on delivering an excellent educational experience while developing innovative ways to keep you engaged and connected to UWinnipeg.
As you know, the majority of fall-term courses are being delivered remotely, with only a few in-person classes to accommodate learning that can’t happen effectively from a distance. Due to the ongoing public health situation — and so we may continue to safeguard the wellbeing of the UWinnipeg community — we have decided the Winter 2021 term will function in the same way. That means mostly remote delivery of courses with a small number of classes on campus.
The University of Winnipeg’s staff and instructors are committed to supporting and inspiring you throughout your academic journey. I would like to thank faculty members for maintaining our excellence in teaching, research, and service — while acknowledging the extra time and effort this has taken over the last several months. I also extend sincere gratitude to our support staff and student services teams who have worked tirelessly to connect with you and help you through these difficult times.
We wish you much success this academic year, and are grateful for your understanding throughout this uniquely challenging period. Remember to visit our COVID-19 information website for ongoing updates.
