Stella Mission is an important meeting place in Winnipeg’s North End. It was where new immigrants were taught English and helped integrate into their new home. In 1909, the famous Rev. James Shaver Woodsworth began his ministry with the people at Stella.
In 1925, Stella Mission officially became part of The United Church of Canada.
