The University of Winnipeg congratulates 31 Indigenous students who have earned the Business Council of Manitoba Academic Awards for 2014-2015.

The award honours students based on leadership, motivation and a commitment to learning.

“The Business Council of Manitoba awards confirm that we are attracting incredibly talented and dedicated Indigenous scholars, who are applying themselves across our faculties,” said Dr. Annette Trimbee, President and Vice-Chancellor, UWinnipeg. “It is gratifying that the corporate community is actively supporting and promoting the success of our next generation of leaders.”

UWinnipeg is one of the top four universities in the country for Indigenous participation, with approximately 12% of our student body comprised of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit students. Find out about UWinnipeg’s academic programs and supports for Indigenous students here.
