Indigenization in the Time of Pipelines with Chelsea Vowel

The next Weweni Indigenous Scholars Speaker Series presentation will feature Chelsea Vowel. She will be speaking on Indigenization in the Time of Pipelines on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. in Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Vowel is Métis from manitow-sâkahikan (Lac Ste. Anne) Alberta. She is a Mother, public intellectual, writer, and educator whose work intersects language, gender, Métis self-determination, and resurgence. Chelsea blogs at apihtawikosisan.com and is co-host of the Indigenous feminist sci-podcast Métis in Space and author of Indigenous Writes: A Guide to First Nations, Métis & Inuit Issues in Canada.
