President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Annette Trimbee, reflected on the achievements of the past year and outlined priorities for the year ahead in her annual State of the University Address, which took place Monday, September 9, and is now available online.
She used the address to provide updates on the University’s progress in working toward its five strategic directions of academic excellence and renewal; student experience and success; Indigenization; research excellence, knowledge mobilization, and impact; and financial and institutional resilience.
At the end of her talk, she shared a short video highlighting UWinnipeg’s upcoming campaign to modernize the library, and she encouraged the community to “continue to probe ideas deeply, to engage with diverse communities, to create innovative solutions for complex problems, and to invest in the success of our students, because that’s what we do best,” she said.
