WINNIPEG, MB – Original research underway in every faculty at The University of Winnipeg highlights the depth, breadth and diversity of what the University has to offer. Professors are exploring everything from homelessness, to the role of the Supreme Court, to Indigenous women’s history, to athletic imagery and climate change on the Prairies.
That’s just a small sampling of research captured in an engaging and accessible new publication, The University of Winnipeg Research 2011-2013, released by UWinnipeg today.
“The research being conducted in every Department and Faculty at The University of Winnipeg is a vital sign of the energies we are mobilizing to address both the perennial questions asked by any research community and the specific challenges of our own local setting here in Manitoba,” said Dr. Neil Besner, Vice-President (Research and International). “As one example among many, our researchers are currently addressing the critical issue of medical isotope production for our provincial health system as well as for national and international health providers.”
