Student Services is expanding the mentor program for first-year students. Last year mentoring was provided for first-year international students and this coming fall mentoring will expand to include domestic students.
Help from a more experienced peer is one of the important supports to a new student as they transition to university. An improved transition aids in retaining students to complete their studies.
This mentoring program is a paid position. We encourage faculty and staff to recommend this program to their students. This is a great opportunity for students to gain experience that can be added to their resume.
