McFeetors Hall: Great-West Life Student Residence
Built on the north-east side of the UWinnipeg’s future Furby/Langside Campus, this hall will offer new, modern dorm-style units as well as the unique option of family housing for those pursuing a University education and raising a family.
McFeetors hall models a range of leading edge environmental technologies to foster sustainability and energy efficiency, including:
- Fully air-conditioned units
- Wireless internet in student lounges
- Electronic, monitored security systems.
- On site SmartCard technology, energyStar laundry facilities.
Choose from:
Single Dorms
- A private, furnished room including a single bed (bedding not provided), desk, chair, lamp, and wardrobe with a full bathroom.
- Access to student lounges and kitchen area
COST: $2340 CAD per term + Mandatory Meal Plan.
Students are required to sign a two-term lease.
Double Dorms
- Two students share a kitchenette (microwave, small refrigerator and sink) and bathroom and have an individual furnished room including bed (bedding not provided), desk, chair, lamp, and wardrobe.
- Approximately 29 sq. m.
- On-floor Laundry and access to shared common areas including lounge and kitchen.
COST: $2340 CAD per term per person + Mandatory Meal Plan.
Students are required to sign a two-term lease.
Family Housing
McFeetors Hall includes 25 townhouse-style homes. These townhouse-style residences will accommodate 10 families from the community and 15 will be available for student families. The apartments have a full kitchen, walk-in closet, living room, full bathroom including bathtub with shower and private entrance. Priority will be given to students with kids and married/common-law couples. Participation on the meal plan is not required. All utilities included. Tenants must make arrangements for telephone, CableTV and Internet.
- One Bedroom Apartments: 44 sq m $589 CAD per month
- Two Bedroom Apartments w/AC : 66 sq m $915 CAD per month
- Two Bedroom Apartments: 57 sq m $745 CAD per month
- Three Bedroom Apartments w/AC: 89 sq m $990 CAD per month
- Three Bedroom Apartments: 77 sq m $950 CAD per month
Residents are required to sign a year-long lease.
* All rooms are wired for telephone, cable TV and internet. Students must make their own arrangements with service providers.
