UWinnipeg writers clean up at Manitoba Book Awards

University of Winnipeg writers cleaned up at the 2021 The Manitoba Book Awards, which celebrate excellence in Manitoba writing, publishing, book design, and illustration.

I’d like to congratulate the winners and nominees of the 2021 Manitoba Book Awards —in particular those who are part of our UWinnipeg community.

“On behalf of the Faculty of Arts, I’d like to congratulate the winners and nominees of the 2021 Manitoba Book Awards—in particular those who are part of our UWinnipeg community,” said Dr. Glenn Moulaison, Dean of Arts. “These awards bear witness to the richness of the intellectual and artistic life of our province.”

UWinnipeg professors who earned awards include Drs. Jonathan Ball (English), Julie Nagam (Art History), and Lara Rae (Women’s and Gender Studies), and the alum winners include David Bergen (BA 85, DLE 07) and David A. Robertson (BA 99).
