WINNIPEG, MB – The University of Winnipeg Wesmen webcasts on uwinnipeg.tv for the 2008-09 season commence this week with live volleyball action from the Duckworth Centre.
Diane Scott’s Wesmen women’s team is the featured attraction, as it takes part in the Lea Marc Volleyball Tournament. The six-team event runs Thursday through Sunday. A men’s volleyball match between the Wesmen and their cross-town rival, the Manitoba Bisons, is also on the webcast slate.
uwinnipeg.tv will webcast all Wesmen games as listed in the schedule below. Wesmen volleyball alumnus Shawn Coates will provide the play-by-play action. The webcasts will begin approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled start time each night. A single camera will provide viewers with a “bird’s-eye view” of all the action. Ambient audio sound will accompany the video presentation both nights. All times listed are Central Time.
