WINNIPEG, MB – More than one billion people in the world do not have clean drinking water. The University of Winnipeg’s Richardson College for the Environment is hosting a Fusion Concert on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 7:30 pm in Riddell Hall to raise money for WaterCan, a leading Canadian charity dedicated to helping the world’s poorest people gain access to clean water. Proceeds will also go to The Lake Winnipeg Foundation.
Headlining the concert is fiddle virtuoso Sierra Noble. Others on the bill include the Spiradicalz, storyteller Rebecca Hiebert and traditional hand drummers & singers.
WaterCan is a leading Canadian charity dedicated to fighting global poverty by helping the world’s poorest people gain access to clean water, basic sanitation and hygiene education.
