The University of Winnipeg and Alumni Affairs are thrilled to announce Homecoming 2025, taking place from Monday, September 15 to Saturday, September 27. This year’s festivities promise a dynamic mix of on- and off-campus events designed to reconnect alumni, families, and friends with the heart of the UWinnipeg community.
Homecoming 2025 invites alumni to take a walk down memory lane, honour the legacy of Wesmen athletics, and celebrate the enduring spirit of UWinnipeg. The schedule features a variety of events tailored to honour our UWinnipeg communities and foster new memories.
- Wesmen Alumni & Friends Nights: Get ready for the upcoming season of the Wesmen Volleyball and Basketball Programs while celebrating the legacy of the 2024 Ring of Honour recipients.
- Alumni & Friends Social Hour: Join us at the Commons Social Kitchen and Bar at the Holiday Inn for some delicious appetizers and wonderful company of your fellow UWinnipeg alumni.
- Reunion Luncheon: A special gathering for alumni from the Classes of 1975-1979 and years ending in 0 or 5.
- Campus Walking Tour: Take a walk down memory lane and look to the future with this specially curated walking tour of the UWinnipeg campus.
Homecoming will conclude on Saturday, September 27, at Princess Auto Stadium, with the Alumni Game at the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. This matchup against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats is also an Orange Shirt game.

Wesmen Alumni & Friends Volleyball Night

Get ready for and exciting evening of fun, food, and creating lasting memories with your fellow Wesmen alumni. Catch up with old teammates and meet the current Wesmen coaches and players while we celebrate the legacy of Wesmen volleyball.

The University of Winnipeg invites alumni and friends to savor and celebrate with the Homecoming edition of Alumni Social Hour. Join us at the Commons Social Kitchen and Bar for some delicious appetizers and the wonderful company of your fellow UWinnipeg alumni. Wesmen Alumni & Friends Basketball Night honouring the Ring of Honour Recipients

Reunion Luncheon
When: 12:30 to 2 p.m. | Where: Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex, 599 Portage Avenue | Admission: Free
The University of Winnipeg, together with the Classes of 1975 to 1979, invite all graduates from the years 1975 to 1979 and years ending in 0 or 5 and their guests to an informal lunch reception at the Richardson College of the Environment and Science Complex.

Campus Walking Tour
When: 2:30 p.m. | Where: Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex, 599 Portage Avenue | Admission: Free
Take a walk down memory lane and see what’s new on campus with this special Campus Walking Tour. Stops will include The Axworthy RecPlex, Duckworth Centre, Gallery 1C03, Leatherdale Hall, Tony’s Canteen, Wesley Hall and Bryce Hall. Meet inside the front doors of Richardson College of the Environment and Science Complex. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear!
Saturday, September 27
Alumni Game with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
When: 12 p.m. Tailgate party, 2 p.m. Kickoff | Where: Princess Auto Stadium, 315 Chancellor Matheson Road | Admission: $40 per person
Join your fellow UWinnipeg Alumni for an unforgettable afternoon of football, fun, and festivities as we wrap up Homecoming 2025! We’re heading to Princess Auto Stadium to cheer on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as they take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Ticket purchase includes access to the tailgate party, reserved stadium seating in section 102, and a $10 gift card for food, beverage, or merchandise.
