On November 25, the University of Winnipeg hosted 1,000 prospective students, parents, and supporters for its annual Future Student Night, a major event showcasing academic programs, student supports, and campus life.

Faculty, staff, and students from throughout the University came together to welcome next year’s new students. The event featured an information fair with more than 50 department and program booths. Future students had the opportunity to speak directly with professors, current students, and staff to learn about programs and pathways offered at the University. The evening’s lively energy was felt throughout campus, with strong faculty engagement and enthusiastic conversations at every table.

The event also offered practical benefits for students preparing to apply. Prospective undergraduate students were able to apply at the event and receive an application fee waiver. Campus tours were available throughout the evening, including department-specific tours, lab visits, and stops at key student spaces and facilities. Attendees were also eligible for a range of prizes, including a $5,000 tuition credit and several giveaways provided by event sponsors.

Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Dr. Pavlina Radia said it was inspiring to see the enthusiasm of faculty and staff as they engaged with guests at the event. “It was so encouraging to see our community come together to welcome future students,” she said. “I’m deeply grateful to all the faculty, students, and staff who contributed to this wonderful event.”
