Join UWinnipeg’s Alumni Association Council

The Alumni Association invites you to get involved

WINNIPEG, MB – The University of Winnipeg Alumni Association invites you to get involved with its Alumni Association Council. The Association is seeking three new council members and the deadline for nominations is April 15, 2008.

The Association is a non-profit organization that supports the goals of the University and promotes affiliation among graduates. The University’s vision for downtown Winnipeg and its leadership in academic excellence, Aboriginal education, sustainability and environmental studies, and theatre and arts make volunteering on the Council a rewarding experience.

Members will be appointed for a term of three years, beginning in June 2008 and ending in June 2011. The Alumni Association Council meets monthly. Members may also join communications, events and volunteer sub-committees, which meet separately as required. The 12 council members also work closely with alumni representatives on The University of Winnipeg Board of Regents.

Again, the deadline for receipt of nominations is April 15, 2008. Elections will be held at The University of Winnipeg Alumni Association Annual General Meeting at 7:00 pm on Monday, June 9, 2008 in Riddell Hall at The University of Winnipeg.
