Join us on Friday, February 7 from 2:30 to 3:40 p.m. for a dialogue on Canada’s place in the world with the Honourable Bill Graham, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The University of Winnipeg presentation, entitled “A Dialogue on Foreign Policy,” is the first of a series of Town Hall community consultations by Minister Graham to engage Canadians in discussion about the country’s choices and priorities and the future direction of our foreign policy.
Audience participation in the dialogue is encouraged.
First elected as Member of Parliament for Toronto Centre-Rosedale in 1993, Bill Graham was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs in January 2002. From 1995 to 2002 he served as Chairman of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Prior to that he practiced law at Fasken & Calvin, specializing in civil litigation and international business transactions, and served on the boards of directors of various public and private Canadian corporations. Subsequently, he taught International Trade Law, Public International Law, and the Law of the European Community at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
The meeting will take place in Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall at the University of Winnipeg (515 Portage Avenue). A reception will follow. The public is welcome. Admission is free; seating limited.
