Young, who has taught at UWinnipeg for 40 years, has just published a book entitled Forty Years Professing: Tips and Thoughts for Undergrads and Teachers. Not a memoir, it seeks to provide some practical tips for both students and teachers, especially those in the Humanities and Social Sciences. It also speaks to the pedagogical ideals with which The University of Winnipeg has associated itself over the past 40 years.
Young, a past winner of the Canadian Professor of the Year Award, has arranged for all proceeds from book sales to be directed to The University of Winnipeg Scholarship Fund. Forty Years Professing: Tips and Thoughts for Undergrads and Teachers retails for $9.00 and is available in The University of Winnipeg bookstore.
