Join the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association (UWSA) as it hosts its first year-end Thank You BBQ at The University of Winnipeg on Thursday, April 21, 2011. Festivities will take place outside on the Quad from 12:00-4:00 p.m.
The UWSA would like to thank all UWinnipeg students, faculty, staff, and community members for all the energy that went into the 2010-2011 academic year.
Please join us on the Spence Street Promenade for free hotdogs, veggie dogs, and refreshments. There will be a DJ set by Beauchamp (http://tinyurl.com/6a7byeb) and fun and competitive games like hopscotch, potato sac races, tug-of-war, and a three-legged race.
“Come celebrate the end to a fantastic year filled with great people and great student- and university-led initiatives,” said Jason Syvixay, President of the UWSA. “This year has been a challenge and an inspiration. The UWSA has been highly engaged this year by collaborating on many great initiatives that made an impact in the community. There are many opportunities for involvement in the UWSA for students and community members, so come to the barbecue, grab a UWSA representative, and find out what we have been up to and how you can get involved!”
