Throughout her illustrious career as a writer, editor, art critic, and curator, she has been a champion of the local arts scene and put Winnipeg art on the map in a way that no other individual has in the city’s rich cultural history.
A member of Rosebud Sioux Tribe and an adopted member of the Kyanuuslii Raven House of the Haida First Nation, Dr. Brokenleg is an educator, psychologist, and author who’s dedicated his life to opening up a space for Indigenous knowledge and practice in the classroom.

Dr. Mary Jane Logan McCallum has published a new book – Nii Ndahlohke: Boys’ and Girls’ Work at Mount Elgin Industrial School, 1890-1915 – looking at student labour at Mount Elgin Indian Residential School.

Larissa Wodtke has been named Program Officer of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Anti-Racism, and Decolonization for UWinnipeg's Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation. She has 13 years of experience at the University managing large-scale, interdisciplinary, community-based research projects in the humanities, social sciences, and community health fields.
Stellar research by six University of Winnipeg master's students and one faculty member has been recognized by Research Manitoba's Awards and Grants Competition. Congratulations to Anouska Agarwal, Emily Unger, Nathalie Turenne, Rosemary Minns, Winter Dawn Lipscombe, and Patrick Carty, as well as Dr. Yannick Molgat-Seon.
Talks will range from detailed analysis of the evidence that survives from the past and informs our understanding of classical antiquity, to how the ancient Greek and Roman worlds influenced later societies, times, and places.
