Carrie Homeniuk appointed Associate Vice-President, Human Resources

Carrie Homeniuk

The University of Winnipeg is pleased to announce the appointment of Carrie Homeniuk (she/her) as Associate Vice-President, Human Resources. Carrie will join our UWinnipeg community on January 8, 2024.

Carrie brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role. She currently serves as Director, Human Resource Services at the University of Manitoba, a position she has held since 2019. Prior to this, she served for eight years as a Human Resource Consultant at the University of Manitoba and for seven years as Human Resource Manager at Jostens Canada Ltd. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and is a designated Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).

Recognized as an accomplished leader in the field of Human Resources, Carrie is a Certified Leadership Coach, a mentor at CPHR Manitoba, and a member of the CPHR Manitoba Board of Directors.

An energetic mentor and coach, Carrie focuses on relationship building and leading teams through the implementation of HR policies and processes. She is known for her ability to collaboratively navigate complex HR matters. Her extensive knowledge and experience in HR management principles, techniques, and legislation, combined with her solid understanding of working in a multi-union environment, make her a valuable addition to our University leadership team.
