Graduation is a time for celebrating outstanding achievements. The University of Winnipeg welcomed family, friends and the public to honour the graduating class of the eighty-fifth convocation.
Autumn Convocation took place Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007 at The University of Winnipeg Duckworth Centre. Otto Klassen was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters by The University of Winnipeg; Jim Silver, Professor and Chair of the Politics Department, received the Erica and Arnold Rogers Award for Excellence in Research and Scholarship; and Howard Mathieson was inducted into Fellowship in United College.
The University of Winnipeg also honoured former Manitoba Lieutenant-Governor Peter Liba posthumously with its Global Citizenship Award.
