The University of Winnipeg’s Professional Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) program hosted the 4th Annual UWPACE Cultural Evening on Thursday, January 29, 2015. The evening featured an ethnic fashion show and showcased full-time PACE students and professional performers from the community in a celebration of cultural expression through dance and musical performances. The audience was encouraged to wear ethnic or local fashion. PACE’s unique student body exemplifies Winnipeg’s emerging mosaic workforce serving as representatives of over 21 countries.

Kim Loeb, Executive Director at PACE said, “What a great opportunity to encourage our students to showcase their culture and talent. Every year, the event grows. When our students share their talent, it’s indicative of them embracing Canada as their new home. We love that – it’s what makes UWinnipeg PACE unique.”
PACE offers professional development programs for individuals who are in the workforce or who wish to move into a new career. The unique full-time programming allows students to complete their studies in 12 months. Additionally, PACE offers more than 20 parttime programs, many of which ladder into degree programs.
