Find out what students are brewing on campus

UWinnipeg students can discover what is intellectually brewing on campus by their colleague at the second annual Student Ideas & Coffee (SIC), inspired by TED Talks. Students in the Rhetoric, Writing, and Communications department (Faculty of Arts) are inviting students from across disciplines to showcase their work. Students are encouraged to present a project they have worked on in five minutes or less, in any style, any format.

The evening includes cadence, conversation, coffee and snacks. Everyone is welcome.

“The idea behind Student, Ideas and Coffee is to give students the opportunity to share their amazing student work with their peers and the faculty at The University of Winnipeg,” explains Tyler Andrade, a student organizer of the event. “We want to encourage students from all walks of life and all disciplines to come out and share what they have been learning in the classroom. This night showcases our students ability to create, inspire and motivate a healthy campus and a collaborative environment for everyone. It is truly a wonderful evening- how could you not come!?”

Presentations include comedy, film, music, poetry, and papers students have written.

“We have such talented students at UWinnipeg working on such great projects. Student Ideas & Coffee is an opportunity for us to learn from each other.,” said Helen Lepp Friesen, academic writing instructor.
