Specalist Mike Sheard presents relevant crime prevention solutions

UWinnipeg’s Institute of Urban Studies presents this introductory lecture, designed to assist community leaders, academics and students involved in community problem solving. This lecture will offer initiatives and innovative ways to engage the participation of diverse groups within communities.

Sheard is an organizational management and strategic planning leader. He has more than 25 years experience in business administration, risk assessment, change management and crime prevention. He is a highly effective team builder and proven business leader. He has been an organizational development consultant to police and the private security industry. He teaches in the areas of Principle Centered Leadership, CPTED, strategic planning, and change management. Key clients include the RCMP, the Canadian Police College, McDonalds Restaurants, PetroCanada and 7-Eleven (the Southland Corporation).

Sheard is the winner of the international Herman Goldstein Criminology Award and the recipient of the Outstanding Police Crime Prevention Practitioner Award by the Solicitor General of British Columbia.
