The next Weweni Indigenous Scholars Speaker Series presentation will feature Chelsea Vowel. She will be speaking on Indigenization in the Time of Pipelines on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. in Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall. Admission is free and all are welcome.
Vowel is Métis from manitow-sâkahikan (Lac Ste. Anne) Alberta. She is a Mother, public intellectual, writer, and educator whose work intersects language, gender, Métis self-determination, and resurgence.
