Mask mandate extended to June 30

Wesley Hall.

UWinnipeg is pleased to become an official signatory of the Scarborough Charter on Anti-Black Racism and Black Inclusion in Canadian Higher Education.

We are excited about returning to campus for spring term starting May 2. As we return to in-person activities, your safety remains our priority. In order to minimize disruption and take care of our campus community, The University of Winnipeg’s mask mandate will continue until June 30, 2022.  We will monitor the COVID situation for the duration of the summer term and beyond, and respond accordingly.

In addition to the continuing mask mandate, additional measures to help safeguard the health of the UWinnipeg community will continue. We have implemented protocols to ensure all campus buildings meet ventilation and cleaning standards for a safe reopening. Sanitation stations have been established across campus, and extra sanitation wipes have been distributed to high traffic areas.

Wearing a mask, regularly washing your hands, sanitizing your study and work space, and developing a plan if you test positive or are symptomatic, will help ensure the safest path to a successful 2022-23 academic year.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding as we continue to ensure a safe and successful return to campus.

Sincerely,

Dr. Todd A. Mondor
President and Vice-Chancellor

Dr. Jan Stewart
