The University of Winnipeg Wesmen would like to congratulate former Wesmen great Ken Opalko on his upcoming induction into the Manitoba Sports Hall Of Fame this coming November.
Opalko was a star member of the Winnipeg Wesmen Men’s Basketball Team from 1976-1981. In those five seasons he was named a CIAU All-Canadian (1978-79), a Great Plains Athletic Conference All-Star five times, and finished his Wesmen career as the all-time Wesmen men’s scoring leader with 3603 points, a record that still stands to this present day.
