Osaed Khan appointed Dean of the University of Winnipeg Collegiate

The University of Winnipeg is pleased to announce the appointment of Osaed Khan (he/him) as Dean of the University of Winnipeg Collegiate (UWC). Khan will begin his five-year term on August 1, 2025.

Khan is currently Acting Dean of UWC, a role he has been serving in since August 2024. Prior to that, since 2022, he was Associate Dean. With over two decades of teaching and leadership experience, he brings a global and student-centered perspective to his role, having served in diverse educational settings including public schools, a Canadian international school in Qatar, and a preparatory school in Vancouver.

At UWC, Khan has led initiatives to strengthen enrolment, enhance academic programming, and expand international outreach across Europe and Asia. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and community, fostering a positive environment for both faculty and students. A dedicated mathematics educator, he champions creative approaches to learning, integrates technology into classrooms, and supports inclusive and engaging extracurricular opportunities.

Khan holds a BSc in Zoology and Microbiology, a BEd in Mathematics and Physics, and an MEd in Administration and eLearning. Widely respected for his communication skills, collegiality, and student-first mindset, he is well-prepared to advance UWC’s mission of academic excellence, access, and community spirit.
