New data from UWinnipeg’s Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) division shows that PACE graduates are entering the workforce successfully, earning above the provincial average, and contributing to Manitoba’s talent pipeline.
Findings from the PACE Graduate Survey, which combines results from graduate cohorts between 2020 and 2024 and was conducted by Prairie Research Associates, highlight strong outcomes across employment, earnings, and retention.
Ninety per cent of graduates are employed in permanent full-time roles, with only eight per cent actively seeking work. Graduates report an average salary of $59,363, approximately 21 per cent higher than the provincial average, based on data from Statistics Canada. Those working in roles aligned with their field of study earn over $61,000 on average.
PACE continues to play a critical role in supporting workforce growth and retention in Manitoba. Ninety-one per cent of graduates remain in the province after completing their studies, and 51 per cent have transitioned to Permanent Resident status, contributing to a stable and skilled workforce.
“These results demonstrate the strength of PACE’s applied, industry-aligned programming and its ability to prepare graduates for workforce success,” said Kim Loeb, Executive Director of PACE. “What stands out is that our graduates are not only securing employment quickly, but are also achieving competitive salaries while choosing to build their futures in Manitoba.”
Graduates are employed across a diverse range of industries, including business, finance and insurance, technology, retail, government, and manufacturing, reflecting strong alignment with Manitoba’s key economic sectors.
At a time when employers across the province continue to face skills shortages and talent retention challenges, PACE is helping bridge critical gaps by delivering career-focused education in high-demand areas such as business, project management, technology, and applied analytics.
