Winnipeg General Strike Tour with History Professor Nolan Reilly
MAY 9, 2006, 5:30 p.m.
Now in its fourth year, the popular Winnipeg General Strike Tour will feature locations where major events linked to the 1919 strike occurred and highlight the strike’s impact on Manitoba’s labour history. Rain date is May 16, 2006.
Gabrielle Roy Tour with French Professor Carol Harvey
MAY 11, 2006, 6:30 p.m.
This cultural event will feature well-known Manitoba author, Gabrielle Roy. The evening will include a visit to the Roy home in St. Boniface and a guided tour of the neighbourhood. Get out your walking shoes, you won’t want to miss this fascinating tour of Winnipeg’s historic French Quarter.
