The University of Winnipeg boasts a unique location in the heart of the city. We’re proud to be considered part of the community, working together with our neighbours to revitalize the downtown. This past year has seen exciting developments like the opening of Spence Street as a pedestrian mall, the creation of the Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre, the Campus Community Ambassador Program, and the Wesmen Basketball program for inner city children. All of these initiatives, and those to come, offer an opportunity for the University to do what it does best-act as a catalyst for positive change. And that’s why we need the input of our community and neighbours!
The first workshop was held Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at The University of Winnipeg. If you attended that workshop and you would like to continue the dialogue, or if you couldn’t make it but still want to share your ideas, join us in the Campus Redevelopment blog.
