This free and public presentation is sponsored by The University of Winnipeg’s Aboriginal Student Services Centre, Aboriginal Self-Governance Program, Education, and Menno Simons College. Conversation and storytelling on the history and experience of survival.

 

Attend morning, afternoon, or both sessions. Free and open to the public.

Period I

10:30 a.m. Recess
10:45 a.m. Storytelling from Residential School Survivors (Art Shofley & Gladys Cook)
11:55 a.m. Small group discussion and debriefing
12:30 Sandwich Lunch & Video “Where Are the Childeren? Healing the Legacy of the Residential Schools”

Period II
1:30 p.m. “Residential Schools History 101” with Mary Young
3:00 p.m. Recess
3:15 p.m. Storytelling from Residential School Survivors with Ann Callahan and Percy Bird
4:25 p.m. Small group discussion and debriefing
