As a part of the University of Winnipeg’s participation in the Winnipeg Pride Festival 2016, the University’s Library in partnership with the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association (UWSA) are co-organizing a two-day Speakers’ Series, School Pride: LGBTQ2S Voices and Collections at the University of Winnipeg on Thursday June 2 and Friday June 3.
The series will highlight diverse campus voices including faculty, students and librarians as well as activists, notably Hazim Ismail, who made headlines around the world for obtaining refugee status in Canada as a gay activist and atheist.
