An undergrad's Human Rights assignment on monuments led to the publication of academic research entitled, "Unsettling the Familiar: Experiential Human Rights Learning through Civic Monuments at the University of Winnipeg".

Kirby Côté is one of Canada’s most decorated Paralympic swimmers. Between 2000 and 2008, she represented Canada at three Paralympic Games, winning seven gold and six silver medals. Kirby was inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame at a special event in Gatineau, Quebec in October.
The University of Winnipeg is pleased to welcome back Dr. Lloyd Axworthy on October 16 at 12:30 p.m. in Convocation Hall for a special book launch of his new memoir.
UWinnipeg-affiliated athletic therapists led the Polyclinic Site at the Manitoba Summer Games. Michayla Esteves (BA 18) agreed to volunteer at the Manitoba Summer Games to gain organizational experience and promote the field of athletic therapy.
Homecoming Week was filled with reconnections, engaging conversations, and memories of way back when. With seven events running through the week, alumni, friends, and family were invited to step foot on campus and pay homage to their alma mater.
