President Mills and Dr. Lloyd Axworthy, UWinnipeg’s President and Vice-Chancellor recently met this past May to establish a working relationship between the Masters in Development Practice program (MDP) and the University for Development Studies (Ghana), leading to a joint initiative on the study of development practice for Indigenous and traditional societies.
Axworthy and the late President Atta-Mills, had known each for over a decade, working together at Liu Institute for Global Issues at the University of British Columbia when Axworthy served as Director and CEO of the institute and Atta-Mills served as a visiting fellow.
