Tip a cop, support inner city youth

TIP A COP 11X17

On Wednesday, November 27, the Winnipeg Police Service is holding its fourth annual “Boston Pizza Tip A Cop” event in support of education for inner-city youth. Uniformed officers will be serving food  over lunch (11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) and dinner (5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) at ten local Boston Pizza restaurants.

All tips they collect will go to the Winnipeg Police Service Opportunity Scholarships Fund, which supports inner-city youth in their pursuit of post-secondary education at The University of Winnipeg.

The Winnipeg Police Service Opportunity Scholarship in Memory of Injured and Fallen Officers scholarships are awarded annually and are renewable annually, with the intention that students receive scholarship support throughout their University degrees. These significant annual scholarships of $2,500, established by the Winnipeg Police Service, are to support educational opportunities for students from North End and Downtown Winnipeg high schools.
