In celebration of the upcoming holiday season, The University of Winnipeg is changing its downtown campus into a winter wonderland full of fun for faculty, staff, students, and their families, as well UWinnipeg friends, associates, and community neighbours.

Sunday, December 12, 2004
2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Duckworth Centre (Spence Street at Ellice Avenue)

Children and adults alike are encouraged to help Winnipeg become Snowman City. The Rotary Club is sponsoring a Snowman City contest; in order to receive this title Winnipeg has to create 10,000 snowmen/women. So, we’ll all pitch in and transform the front lawn of the campus-right in front of the city’s landmark Wesley Hall-into home for as many of these cheery chaps as possible! And once you’ve done your part to make Winnipeg the Snowman capital, you can tour the neighbourhood on a horse-drawn wagon.

When it’s time to warm-up, the Winter fun goes indoors where there will be entertainment for the whole family … and hot chocolate and popcorn to snack on and gingerbread cookies to decorate.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.

Be creative! Bring accessories to dress up your snowman such as old hats, scarves, mittens, carrots, twigs, etc.
