Members of The University of Winnipeg’s staff, faculty, administration, student body and wider community walked in the Pride Parade behind UWinnipeg’s inaugural PROUD banner during this year’s Pride Winnipeg Festival.
The UWinnipeg entry followed a float designed and built by members of the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association (UWSA), the Canadian Federation of Students – Manitoba and l’Association Étudiante de l’Université de Saint-Boniface Alliance allosexuelle-hétérosexuelle.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the parade and festival! We look forward to next year’s parade, and to continuing to support and uphold the human rights and freedoms that are vital to the LGBTTQ* community.
