The University of Winnipeg is partnering with the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) to host the Indigenous Communication in the Digital World: Economic Realities and Challenges, a roundtable discussion on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 8:30am – 4:30pm in Convocation Hall, UWinnipeg, 515 Portage Avenue. This is the fifth and final roundtable relating findings from the latest Promise and Prosperity Report. Prior CCAB roundtables have been hosted in Edmonton, Halifax, Toronto and Victoria.
Indigenous Communication in the Digital World: Economic Realities and Challenges includes diverse speakers from media and academia who will discuss the role Aboriginal media plays in Canadian culture and economy, as well as the importance of communication in a time of reconciliation.
