The University of Winnipeg Library and Information Services kicks off eCommons::Research, an institutional repository for use by UWinnipeg staff and students, as well as community groups and individuals conducting research with, or of interest to, the University.
The official launch of eCommons::Research will take place on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. in Room 2M70 at The University of Winnipeg.
All are welcome to attend and refreshments will be served.
The launch will include:
- Presentation on Scholarly Publishing and Open Access
- Demonstration of the eCommons::Research repository
- Demonstration of the eCommons::Index database of faculty publications
- Demonstration of the Canadian Bulleting of Medical History journal
- Discussion
The eCommons::Research launch is also the first in a lecture series entitled Scholarship in the Digital Age. More information about eCommons::Research is available athttp://ecommons.uwinnipeg.ca/
