The University of Winnipeg is making it easier for students to start their academic journey with an exciting new initiative. Starting on Open House day, February 19, and for two weeks until March 5, prospective undergraduate students can apply for free. The initiative also includes several other benefits available for first-time undergraduate students, including a gift card for campus restaurants and a residence dorm discount.
During the two-week period, UWinnipeg will waive the application fee, which is normally $100 for Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents and $120 for International Students. This offer applies to prospective undergraduate students only.
In addition to the free application, students who register as first-time undergraduate students can receive a 10% discount on McFeetors Hall dorm fees if they take a full course load (at least 9 credit hours) in the fall term—as well as a $100 Diversity Food Services gift card to use at campus restaurants.
To support students through the application process, UWinnipeg is also hosting Application Assistance Days for domestic students on February 22 and 26, as well as for international students on February 25. Prospective students can learn more about the University and complete their application with a Recruitment Officer. Sessions will be held online via Zoom, and parents/guardians are welcome to attend. Prospective students can learn more and register on the special offer page.
