UWinnipeg PACE celebrates Class of 2024

The PACE graduation ceremony promises to be a memorable event, celebrating the achievements and potential of the Class of 2024.

The University of Winnipeg’s Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) is set to celebrate its 2024 graduation ceremony on October 18, 2024. This momentous occasion will see 634 students from 50 countries graduating, marking a significant milestone for the graduates, their families, and the university community.

Rita Onome Eghujovbo expressed her joy and honour at being chosen as the valedictorian for the convocation ceremony. Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “Our journey through PACE has been nothing short of extraordinary. The pace of PACE, as we fondly call it, is intense and demanding. Yet, despite the challenges, the experience has been incredibly rewarding. Each sleepless night and each moment of doubt has culminated in this triumphant day.”

Graduates from diverse programs such as Advanced Business Management (ABM), Artificial Intelligence Diploma (AI), Educational Assistant Diploma (EA) Human Resource Management (HRM), Financial Management Diploma (FM), Marketing Management Diploma (MM), Network Security Diploma (NSD), Predictive Analytics Diploma (PA), Project Management (PM), Public Relations and Strategic Communications (PRSC), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Web Application Development (WAD) will be celebrated for their achievements. The ceremony will recognize not only their academic accomplishments but also the personal growth and professional skills they have acquired.

In addition to the valedictorian, several award winners will be honored for their exceptional achievements:

Kim Loeb, Executive Director of UWinnipeg PACE, shared her thoughts on the significance of this event: “The PACE graduation ceremony is a testament to the hard work and perseverance of our students, the dedication of our faculty, and the unwavering support of family and friends. As the Class of 2024 moves forward, they do so with a strong foundation of knowledge, skills, and a shared sense of purpose.”

The success of PACE graduates extends beyond the classroom. A recent survey of graduates from 2018 to 2022 underscores the program’s significant impact on employability. An impressive 92 per cent of PACE graduates are employed, with 88 per cent securing full-time positions. This high employability rate highlights the program’s effectiveness in preparing students for the job market.
