Ben Trunzo, Athletic Therapist and instructor in Kinesiology and Applied Health & winner of the 2013 Outstanding Educator by the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association
UWinnipeg’s Ben Trunzo was named the 2013 Outstanding Educator by the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) at their Annual conference in Toronto last Friday (May 24). Trunzo is an athletic therapist and instructor in Kinesiology and Applied Health.
Trunzo has been part of the UWinnipeg fabric for close to three decades serving in many roles and is described as a passionate instructor by his students. He continually challenges his students to “think outside the box” and encourages them to always expand their scope of knowledge. His legacy is with the students who have had the honour of studying and working under his tutelage. His range of courses includes Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries, First Responder Course and the Injuries to the Spine.
