WAFF returns to UWinnipeg

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival (WAFF) returns to The University of Winnipeg with the showing of a series of short films by Oscar-nominated director Taika Waititi Thursday, Nov. 25 at 7:00 pm in Eckhardt-Gramatte Hall.

As well, the University will play host to the festival’s Youth Education days Nov. 24 and 25, also in Eckhardt-Gramatte Hall.

The festival, now in its 9th year, had panel discussions last year on campus. The events at UWinnipeg are just part of a much larger set of offerings by the festival.

“We are extremely excited to bring Winnipeg another great lineup of the best in Aboriginal film. Every year we are amazed at the talent that is emerging and thriving in all the genres of filmmaking,” says WAFF Artistic Director, Coleen Rajotte.
