Thursday, August 19, 2010 – The University of Winnipeg Wesmen Men’s Basketball team is hard at work preparing for next week’s preseason games against the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits (NCAA DIV 1). The two games will take place on Monday, August 23 and Thursday, August 26 at the Duckworth Centre. Tip off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. both nights.
First year Wesmen head coach Mike Raimbault has been busy putting his team through intense practice sessions as they prepare for their first pre season games of the 2010-2011 season.
“Right now everything we are doing is new. We have a lot of new faces and we are working to get to know each other as well as create a standard of expectations.The games next week will be a huge challenge for us but it will provide us with the opportunity to evaluate ourselves against top level competition”, said Raimbault.
Tickets for the two exhibition games will be available on game days at the second floor ticket booth in the Duckworth Centre. Adult ticket prices are $8.00 per game, Students – $4.00 per game, University of Winnipeg students – $3.00 per game and children under 12 will receive free admission when accompanied by an adult.
