Starting soon, the wait list processor will be automatically sending wait listed students a reminder email message if there is an open seat in their course section offered in the 2009 Winter Term.
If you are on a wait list for a course section in the 2009 Winter Term and if you are near the top of the wait list, please be advised to check your U of W email “iam” account periodically for instructions on how to claim your reserved seat.
You will have three (3) days in order to claim your reserved seat before it is offered to the next student on the wait list.
If you do not claim your reserved seat within the three (3) day period, you will be automatically dropped off the wait list. If you wish, you can add yourself back onto the wait list by going into WebAdvisor. However, you will be placed at the bottom of the list and will have to wait for other students ahead of you to drop out of the class in order to get a second chance at registering with permission into the reserved seat.
To avoid any disappointment, please check WebAdvisor and Manage My Wait List, as well as your U of W “iam” email account often.
Special Note to Wait Listed Students Given a Course Prerequisite Waiver
If you have been given a prerequisite waiver from an instructor and then subsequently added to the course wait list, you must get help/assistance from Student Central or from the Student Records Office. Staff at either location will assist you in getting registered off the wait list.
Note: This has to be done within the three (3) day period.
