The University of Winnipeg will host The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra (WSO) and Music Director Alexander Mickelthwate on Tuesday, October 8 at their inaugural Up Close & Orchestral (UCO) concert of the season. This one-hour concert is free and open to the entire UWinnipeg community — including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners.

A few titles from the concert’s repertoire include: Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition: Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks & The Gnome, Ney Rosauro: Concerto No. 1 for Marimba and String Orchestra, 1st Movement, Jepson/Crowe arr. Dan Wiebe: Call Me Maybe, Rossini: Overture to the Barber of Seville, Schifrin: Theme from Mission Impossible.
