City Summit Co-Chair Lloyd Axworthy, on behalf of the three Co-Chairs, today released an outcomes document on the findings of the Winnipeg City Summit, held May 3 and 4, 2006. The report outlines the priorities identified by the hundreds of Winnipeggers who were involved in the Summit from its inception in the Fall of 2005, including online participants, pre-conference participants, and delegates to the conference.
“Great energy and good ideas emerged from the speakers and discussion at the Summit,” said Axworthy. “Winnipeggers from all walks of life want to get involved to make their City a better place and this document provides a number of tangible steps, for business, community organizations, government, media and citizens to become involved. Working collaboratively is the best way to affect real change and this document will help to guide that.”
