Campus Food Services Needs Your Help!

cupAs we transition to the season of exams and summer activities, Food Services need your assistance. Over the course of the year our cutlery, dishes and trays get relocated to classrooms, offices and common areas of The University, and we need your help to get those items back.

The University of Winnipeg prides itself on promoting and supporting a sustainable environment and one way we can all help in that endeavour is to minimize the loss of food service materials. If you bring a fork or knife back you reduce the need to produce more. If you bring back a plastic tray you help to preserve precious non-renewable resources. If you bring back a dish instead of throwing it away you help to reduce the amount of garbage going to our landfills.

For the next few weeks, there will be dish containers placed outside Riddell Hall Cafeteria. As you go through your offices, classroom areas and personal spaces while preparing to leave for the Summer, please collect any dishes, cutlery and trays that may have accumulated there and bring them back to us. We promise to give them a home and to extend their useful lifecycle.

Support a sustainable campus and a sustainable environment.
