Thanks to the generosity of the Hill family, The University of Winnipeg Archives digitized a collection of Kern-Hill Furniture commercials that were preserved on videocassettes. This important part of Winnipeg's history will now be accessible to researchers and available for classroom use.
The University of Winnipeg community mourns the loss of The Honourable Jim Carr, Member of Parliament for Winnipeg South Centre, who passed away at the age of 71 on Monday, December 12.
There are many ways to honour Canada’s veterans on this day. Winnipeg’s largest public Remembrance Day ceremony will be held at the Winnipeg Convention Centre at 10:40 a.m. Smaller ceremonies will be held at various locations throughout the city by branches of the Royal Canadian Legion.
