Discovery & Learning: The University of Winnipeg hosts Free Science Day Camp for Youth

The University of Winnipeg, in partnership with ANAK (Aksyon Ng Ating Kabataan or “young people”), will present a free Science Day Camp today aimed at inspiring and educating Filipino and immigrant youth. The University’s Science Day Camp will allow participants, aged 10 to 17, to be scientists for a day—conducting four hands-on chemistry experiments including making soap and discovering the synthesis of nylon. This educational opportunity, part of the Kapatid Summer Educational Program, is also supported by the Natural Sciences & Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and City Councillor Mike Pagtakhan’s office.
